WELCOME TO BEARDSTOWN DISTRICT #15 ! We are glad you're here!
am extremely proud to be the Superintendent of the Beardstown Community Unit School District #15. I grew up not far from here on a small farm in rural Adams County and attended Liberty High School. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Beverly for 24 years. We look forward to being part of the community. I want to welcome all of our students and parents/guardians back to the start of another new school year.
Our school district continues to provide excellent learning opportunities for our students, as we prepare all of our students for the challenges of the 21st century. We exist to serve the educational needs of the children living within the Beardstown School District. I look forward to partnering with parents, staff, and the community in working together to prepare our students to be successful adults.
It will be an exciting time continuing a new era of learning and infusing several new learning initiatives. A new 1:1 technology Chromebook program with our 7th-12th-grade students. ATI-Online technologies http://www.ati-online.com student benchmarking program to help assist academic progress and use scientific data-driven results. A web-based Parent Portal so you can stay up to date with your student's grades and homework in the LUMENS parent portal. If you need help with your login please stop your student's office and ask for help. There will be two new English curriculums, in grade k-6 the American Reading Company and grades 7-12 Study Sync. The new My Math curriculum is in year two. Lastly, there will be new online course learning opportunities for students who meet the criteria and guidelines outlined in the MS/HS Handbook. New for teh 2019-2020 School year, New Science Curriculums and MS /HS teachers will be receiving SHarp smart boards in their classrooms.
